Covid: What to take into account when entering the United States?

If you are a non-U.S. citizen who is a nonimmigrant (not a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or traveling to the United States on an immigrant visa), you will need to show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before you travel by air to the United States from a foreign country.

As of 12:01AM ET on June 12, 2022, CDC not longer requires air passengers traveling from a foreign country to the United States to show a negative COVID-19 viral test or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 before they board their flight.

Some categories of noncitizen, nonimmigrants are excepted from this requirement. If you meet the criteria for one of these categories, you will need to fulfill additional requirements to travel by air to the United States.

The vaccine must either be approved by the US Federal Drug Administration or must have an emergency use listing from the World Health Organization (such as Astrazeneca). The vaccination requirement does not apply to US citizens, lawful permanent residents or US nationals. 

Wearing a mask over your nose and mouth is currently not required in indoor areas of public transportation, including on airplanes, buses, trains and other forms of public transit.

Is it possible to do a Covid test at the airport?

Yes. XpresCheck has the COVID-19 test service for travelers and visitors to the DEN airport, daily from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.. It offers PCR tests and rapid molecular tests. Testing is available to anyone eight years of age and older. PCR test results typically take two to three days, while rapid test results can be available in 15 to 30 minutes. It is located in Center Core, B Gates, tel (720) 445-1368.


What is the cheapest way to get to downtown Denver?

The A Line commuter rail service is the cheapest option to travel to/from downtown Denver (Union Station). It runs every 15 minutes, during peak hours and every 30 minutes from 03:00am to 05:00am and 06:30pm to 01:00 am.  (Fare $10.50) LEARN MORE


Where is the Uber or Lyft Airport pickup location?

They are at the ground transportation area, outside the Jeppesen Terminal, at Island 5, Level 5 near baggage claim through doors 506-510 (west side) and 507-511 (east side).

Is there free internet access?

Yes, in fact, passengers can access free Wi-Fi connecting at “- DEN Airport Free Wi-Fi" network. 


How to transfer between the Terminal and Gates?

The Jeppesen Terminal is connected to the three concourses of the DEN airport through a Commuter Train that works through an Automated Guideway System. The stops are located in the center of the four buildings. Passengers are directed to the Train gates, after the North and South security checkpoints. Regarding the journey time, from the terminal to Gates C is less than ten minutes, while from Gates A to Gates B it is about three minutes and from Gates A to Gates C the journey is about about five minutes.


What to do in case of a long layover?

There are many stores (including duty free) and dining options. The Denver International Airport also offers a number of other amenities including lounges with drinks, food, work spaces, lottery, kids area, terrace, nursing rooms throughout the terminal building, massage services, chapel, device charging stations, resting areas. In addition, the Westin Denver international Airport  is located right next to the terminal, offering comfortable and well equipped rooms, a fitness center with airport views, garden and pool area, restaurant and other amenities for travelers looking for a pleasant stay.


What to do in case of loss of valuables or luggage?

Lost and Found        
Lost items at Denver Airport are taken to the Lost & Found office, located at Jeppesen Terminal fifth level, near the International Arrivals.

Service hours: Monday to Friday, from 08:00am to 07:30pm, Saturday and Sunday from 08:00am to 06:00pm.

Is there a luggage storage service?

Due to security reasons luggage storage services are not available at Denver Airport. 


Is there any free parking area in Denver International airport?

Yes, the free Cell Phone Waiting Lot is the ideal place to wait for a call from your traveler letting you know they are ready for pick up at Jeppesen Terminal.  More information about PARKING.


Is possible to get a SIM card?

InMotion offers SIM cards ideal for travelers visiting the United States or for those traveling from the United States abroad. The stores are located in Concourses A, B and C.


Is it possible to book for a meet & assist service?

They are currently offering the meet & assist services free of charge until January 31, 2023. During this time, the airport will be evaluating the program and making adjustments for a future paid service. Hours of Operation: Daily Hours: 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., subject to availability. Where are the drop-off and pickup zones?

For individuals
Passengers Departures: drop-off zones are located on level 6, directly connected to curbside baggage check-in and airline ticketing.
Passengers Arrivals: pickup zones are located on level 4.
For commercial Vehicle Services 
drop-off and pickup lanes are located on Level 5 – (taxis, car-rental vans, shuttles, buses, limousines, and Uber and Lyft)
