Statistics and location  
According to the 2022 passenger traffic statistics, Denver International Airport (IATA: DEN), locally known as DIA, it was the third busiest airport in the United States, just behind Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson and Dallas Forth Worth. It operates with several domestic, international as well as some intercontinental flights, serving not only the Denver metropolitan area, but also the greater Front Range Urban Corridor. It is the largest airport in North America by land area. The airport is a major hub for both United Airlines and Frontier Airlines and the largest operating base for Southwest Airlines. Since the mid-1990s, it has more than 200 non-stop destinations, making it one of the few worldwide with this distinction.

During 2022, 69.3 million passengers passed through it. It is located in Colorado, 25 miles (40 km) to the northest of downtown Denver. (SEE MAP)

Public and Private Transportation

Commuter Train

The A Line runs every 15 minutes, during peak hours and every 30 minutes from 03:00am to 05:00am and 06:30pm to 01:00 am, between Denver Airport and downtown’s Denver Union Station. LEARN MORE
